The university was founded on December 11, 1938, under the name Bengal Agricultural Institute (BAI). A. K. Fazlul Haque, the former Chief Minister of undivided Bengal later changed the name of the university to Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in 2001.
Daffodil International University
